Napříč výrobci je tato technologie nazývána různě, ale v principu se vždy jedná o totéž. Jedná se o kamery s velkým sensorem v kombinaci s kvalitním objektivem, díky čemuž kamery poskytují barevný pohled i v "nočním režimu". U některých modelů má kamera i integrované teplé LED světlo (okem viditelné), které může pomoci v naprosté tmě. LED světlo lze v některých případech zcela vypnout a pokud se v okolí nachází lampa či jiný vnější zdroj osvětlení, pravděpodobně nebude integrované LED vůbec zapotřebí.
