Product description
UPS MHPower WPU-700 is ideal as a backup power source for a circulation pump, a boiler, or a fireplace stove. Thanks to its pure sine wave output and robust toroidal transformer, it is also suitable for backing up many other devices such as home appliances, power tools, chargers, compressors, pumps, motors, electric drives, office equipment, television equipment, telecommunications, servers, PCs, and other devices with power consumption of up to 700W of continuous operation. You can also use the backup power source as a UPS in a caravan. The main advantage of this power source is the possibility to connect an external battery (not included), which allows it to power connected devices for a long period, depending on the chosen battery capacity, see the table with the approximate backup time in the manual.
When powered from the grid, connected devices are powered directly from the grid, and the external battery is charged. In case of a power outage, the source automatically switches to the inverter, drawing energy from the battery, and the devices are powered by the inverter. When power is restored, the source automatically switches back to the grid and starts charging the battery. WARNING: There is no backup battery inside the backup power source. To fulfill its function, an external battery, which is not included, must be purchased separately. Without this external battery, the device is not operational.
NOTE! The backup power source (UPS) only works when connected to an external battery. It should not be used without a connected battery. After connecting the battery, plug the main power cable into a grounded socket (230V, 50 Hz). On the back of the source, connect the device you want to operate during a power outage. Follow this order: connect the battery, connect the main power, and then connect the appliance (device) to the backup power source (UPS). To turn the AC load (appliance sockets) on or off, press and hold the power button (ON / OFF) for about 2 seconds.
Recommended battery capacity: 24-250Ah (for batteries under 60Ah, we recommend charging with a lower current of 10A)
Supported batteries: GEL, AGM, traditional flooded
Unsupported batteries: Li-on, Li-Pol, LiFePO, etc.
