1.(a) When both M.2_1 socket and PCIe x1_2 slot are not occupied, PCIe x16_2 runs at x4 mode.
(b) When either M.2_1 socket, or PCIe x1_2 slot, or both are occupied, PCIe x16_2 only runs at x1 mode.
2.(a) When an M.2 device in PCIE mode is installed, PCIE x16_2 slot only runs @ x1 mode and SATA6G_1 port is enabled.
(b) When an M.2 device in SATA mode is installed, the M.2 device uses the SATA6G_1 bandwidth. SATA6G_1 port is disabled.
3.Only M.2_2 socket can support Intel Optane Memory. Intel Optane Technology is only supported when using 7th Generation Intel processors. Before using Intel Optane memory modules, ensure that you have updated your motherboard drivers and BIOS to the latest version from ASUS support website.
4.Choose the chassis with HD audio module in front panel to support 8-channel audio output.
